About The Kentucky Castle:
Once upon a time, back in 1969, a Kentucky native named Rex Martin dreamt of building a castle inspired by his European travels. He teamed up with his wife, Caroline Bogaert Martin, and they began construction on their dream home. However, like any good fairytale, there were twists and turns along the way.
In 1975, the Martins sold the unfinished castle to a new owner, who sadly didn’t complete the project either. For years, the castle sat abandoned, a mysterious and intriguing landmark for locals and passersby. It wasn’t until 2004 that the castle got a new lease on life, thanks to a Miami lawyer named Thomas Post. He saw the castle’s potential and transformed it into the luxurious destination it is today.
But wait, there’s more! In 2017, a group of investors purchased the property and added even more magic. They turned it into the ultimate wedding venue, complete with a boutique hotel, restaurant, and spa. And thus, The Kentucky Castle we all know and love was born!
